
Host - Steelbach
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Lead Host to join our team in a vibrant restaurant environment. The Lead Host will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by managing reservations, greeting guests, and overseeing the front-of-house operations. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to effectively manage guest relations while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Steelbach is a Southern-inspired kitchen and chophouse offering innovative food paired with timeless flair. We partner with Florida’s top producers to raise and deliver grass-fed beef and bring a variety of simple, fresh handpicked flavors to every dish.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using Open Table.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant services.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy to enhance guest relations.
- Train and supervise junior host staff to maintain high standards of service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area and waiting areas.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette when answering calls for reservations or inquiries.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with Reservation system, particularly Open Table, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing guest flow.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- A passion for providing outstanding guest services and enhancing overall guest experiences.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Hospitality certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress
- Experience in managing reservations.
Physical Requirements:
- Remain standing for extended periods of time.
- Bending, squatting and lifting up to 15 lbs. for short distances.
- Ability to work with varying noise levels.
