1983 - Event Host

Three Oaks Hospitality is looking for an Event Host to join our 1983 team and be the first point of contact for our guests.  Responsibilities include ensuring guests feel welcome, setting up party area, and monitoring flow of guests and activities. For this role, you should have exceptional organizational and people skills to ensure our guests have a positive experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work nights, holidays and weekends.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Guest Interaction:
    • Greeting guests warmly and professionally upon arrival. 
    • Ensuring guests feel welcome and comfortable throughout the event. 
    • Answering questions and providing information to guests. 
    • Acting as a point of contact for guests' needs and concerns. 
  • Event Management:
    • Setting up the party area and ensuring it is organized and presentable. 
    • Monitoring the flow of guests and activities. 
    • Supervising party activities and ensuring they are running smoothly. 
    • Helping with serving food and drinks, if needed. 
    • Addressing any issues or problems that arise during the event. 
  • Customer Service:
    • Providing excellent customer service to all guests. 
    • Being approachable and helpful to guests. 
    • Maintaining a positive and engaging attitude. 
    • Ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all attendees. 
  • Other Duties:
    • Checking in guests and managing the guest list. 
    • Helping with cleanup and closing down the party area. 
    • Following safety protocols and procedures. 
    • Working with other staff members to ensure the event runs smoothly. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Strong Communication Skills: Being able to effectively communicate with guests, parents, and staff. 
  • Customer Service Skills: Having a friendly and helpful attitude and being able to handle guest inquiries and concerns. 
  • Organizational Skills: Being able to set up the party area, manage the flow of guests, and address any issues that arise. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Being able to think on your feet and find solutions to problems that may arise during the event. 
  • Teamwork: Being able to work effectively with other staff members to ensure the event runs smoothly. 
  • Flexibility: Being able to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected situations. 
  • Energy and Enthusiasm: Being able to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests. 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Hospitality certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress
  • Experience in managing events.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Remain standing for extended periods of time.
  • Bending, squatting and lifting up to 15 lbs. for short distances.
  • Ability to work with varying noise levels.
