Staff Accountant

Three Oaks Hospitality is growing its team again! We are currently seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to conduct weekly bank reconciliations and assist the senior accountant with financial reporting. Successful candidates will be   self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities. Additionally, candidates should have prior accounting experience, knowledge of accounting procedures, and strong attention to detail. This is a full time salaried position. Applicants must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday at our corporate office.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank account and credit card accounts for multiple locations.
  • Complete sales validations daily and resolve discrepancies with store managers.
  • Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Review and maintain weekly credit card chargebacks and resolve discrepancies with store managers.
  • Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prioritize and respond to email inquiries.
  • Assists with internal and external audits.
  • Assist with month end closing including journal entries, analysis, inquires, and review.
  • Accurately completes assigned projects by the deadline.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support the accounting department.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Technical accounting skills, including account reconciliation.
  • Strong computer software knowledge/skills, including excel spreadsheets.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Restaurant industry accounting experience preferred.

 Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
