Armature Works is a historic mixed-use hub in the heart of Tampa Heights, home to the Heights Public Market and set along an unobstructed view of the Hillsborough River. The century-old structure has been beautifully restored and reimagined into one of Tampa's premier destinations — a place full of unique experiences, innovative eateries, memorable events and everything in-between. 

We're looking for a Porter to help keep our restaurant location safe, clean and orderly. If you want to kickstart your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations that make this destination shine, we'd like to meet you. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors
• Dust furniture and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers
• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Wipe down glass surfaces
• Wash windows as scheduled
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Courteous and pleasant to all guests
• Ability to work as a team with fellow porters and other staff
• Ability to follow direction from supervisors/managers
• Previous job references required
• Availability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays may be required

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in the porter or janitorial field is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Remain standing for extended periods of time
• Bending, squatting and lifting up to 20 lbs. for short distances
• Ability to work with varying noise levels
